In order to act on a complaint we must have the caller's name, address, and telephone number. We can process complaints received by telephone, in person, or in writing. The Township is unable to process anonymous complaints.
When an ordinance violation is confirmed, the Township office must follow legal procedures in order to resolve the matter. At times, these procedures can be quite lengthy. The Township will do its best to keep the lines of communication open and resolve the matter as soon as possible.
It’s always a good policy to talk with your neighbor first when there is a problem. Most residents prefer to have a neighbor approach them personally instead of receiving an official violation notice from the Township.
